He studied Product Design at the EASD in Valencia and later obtained a Master's degree in Design Engineering from Cardenal Herrera-CEU University in Valencia.
After completing his studies, he founded "obj.studio" together with the designer Nacho Poveda. After seven years in "obj.studio" he settled in London for two years, where he worked as Product Designer in the conceptual and technical development of the upper class interior of the new Boeing 787 for “Virgin Antlantic Arways”. After returning to Valencia, he worked as Senior Product Designer in "Lavernia & Cienfuegos Design". He currently resides in Madrid and is Project Manager in "In Spirit Design".
For ALMA LIGHT, during his period in "Obj", together with the designer Nacho Poveda, he developed classic luminaires of the brand, such as the ASPEN and BISCUIT collections.
Javier Taberner is a young designer considered as one of the most promising talents of this country. It has received several awards such as the INJUVE design prize awarded to "OBJ" in 2008, and its designs cover areas as diverse as lighting, packaging or furniture.
